The Iris Robot is a great introduction to robotics and the perfect challenge for anyone’s next project. The robot is small enough to drive around on your desk while powerful enough to drive throughout the room. Controlling the Iris Robot Platform through several different ways allows the robot to explore the room and accomplish tasks. For many people, bringing software into the physical world through hardware can make programming easier to learn and easier to remember. It is a low cost, mobile robot platform that can be programmed to operate on its own or in response to a wide variety of remote controls. Iris has been designed so students and teachers can focus on programming without having to build the electrical and mechanical systems. This robot is an ideal starting place for students, teachers, coaches, and teams interested in educational robotics.

The Iris Robot Dock allows you to continue programming the hand-held Iris robot while increasing it's capabilities. The Iris docking station can be used to add motors, sensors, and larger batteries to a bigger frame. In this set-up, the Iris robot becomes the brain of your robot.
The Land Drone package is an all-encompassing bundle that can be used as a starting point to build a fully-functioning simple robot. One Iris robot, one Iris docking station, and materials to build a 14"x14"x14" clawbot are included. This package was specifically designed for the CREATE Foundation Drones competition for the 2021-2022 season. See www.create-found.org for more information.

The Iris Robot is a low cost, mobile robot that can be programmed to operate on its own or in response to a wide variety of remote controls. It is an engaging introduction to microprocessor programming, mobile app development, as well as the potential expansion into web development. It is ideal for teaching programming: the robot is palm sized and can be operated and tested on the desk next to the computer. Engaging users with programming can be difficult at times, but through the mobile robotic platform, programming methods and techniques will keep student engagement higher for longer.

Open Robotics Kit$1,200.00 |
|
The Open Robotics Kit contains all the mechanical and electronics components needed to create your own basic clawbot. A clawbot is a simple robot that is often used as an introduction to robotics and technology. Once assembled, it can be driven around the classroom and use its claw to pick up small balls or objects. It is simply constructed, but has been designed to leverage many different technologies. 3D printing, laser cutting, multiple types of motors and drivers, and various software platforms are only a few of the ways this kit can be a tool for learning. One Iris robot, one Iris docking station, and materials to build a 12" clawbot, or a larger 18" robot frame, are included.
