Developing software to run your robot can be a daunting task. Creating code that is easily readable and adaptable is a skill worth cultivating. The Higher Order Innovation Control Systems are created on the popular Arduino Platform. This platform was selected specifically because of the worldwide network of support and expertise that is available online. Developing code for an Arduino is done largely within their own Integrated Development Environment (IDE), but this IDE was not meant for large code bases similar to the autonomous programs running your robots. When your programming becomes too complex or your code gets too long to stay manageable, have you programmer research the Visual Micro plugin for Atmel Studio. The Atmel Studio IDE is a much more helpful interface and one similar to full IDEs in other languages you will use in the future.
